Heroes of the Faith Week 1; Noah
Today, we begin a new series for the month of August titled “Heroes of the Faith.” Each week, we’ll look at different biblical characters that exemplify the life of faith and trust in God.
Genesis 6:5 NIV
5 “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.”
Genesis 6: 6-7 NIV
6 “The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”
Genesis 6:8 NIV
8 “But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”
Genesis 6:9b NIV
9b “…Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.”
Proverbs 3: 5-6 NIV
5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Revelation 21: 5b NLT
5b “…Look, I am making everything new!”
2 Corinthians 4: 6-7 NLT
6 “For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.”
Genesis 9:11 NIV
11 “I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
John 3:17 NIV
17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
