A Mother’s Day Card from God

Moms, have you ever felt overwhelmed, discouraged, worried, or alone? Mother’s Day is supposed to be a day to celebrate and honor moms for the many contributions they make. But this day can be difficult for some, for a number of reasons. Today Pastor Darth will share a special message of hope and encouragement, a message for the heart that comes in the form of a “Mother’s Day card from God.”

Proverbs 31: 10, 25-31 NIV

 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
    she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
    and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
    and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
    her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
    but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
    but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
    and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

  1. When You Feel Discouraged, God has a Card for You

    Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV
    28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

    Philippians 4:13 NLT
    13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
