Annual Meeting 3.10.24
Whether you are an official corporate member or simply consider Wenatchee First Assembly your church home, you are more than welcome and actually encouraged to attend the annual business meeting which will be held immediately following the worship service this Sunday, March 10th. Members can sign the roster and cast their ballots beginning at 9:30am in the lobby. Childcare will be available for toddlers in the Early Childhood Wing of the church and those K – 5th will enjoy a movie and popcorn in the gym.
This year there are 3 positions to be filled on the board of directors. We have 5 very qualified candidates. Ralph Coert, John Eksted, Janice Hendricks, Mary Sullivan, and Joel Swartz, These are all quality people and I appreciate their willingness to serve if elected. Please keep in prayer the next couple of days that God’s will prevail in our process of selecting them through a ballot.
Of course the big election this year is for Lead Pastor. The board, acting as the pulpit committee, spent 90 days in prayer, consideration and dialogue and unanimously chose Pastor Darth as their recommended candidate. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to “endorse” a successor but I want you to know that I’m thrilled and certainly concur with their recommendation. I know I’m going to vote for him! The most important thing to me is the new pastor have a shepherd’s heart and I have do doubt that Pastor Darth will take good care of this wonderful congregation.
