JOHN 3:14-17 NIV

“14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” 

1. The extent of God’s love

• The love of God extends past all barriers. (Romans 8:35-39)
• The love of God goes on forever. (Jeremiah 31:1)
• The love of God extends all the way to the cross. (1 John 4:9; 1 John 3:16; John 15:13)
•  The love of God extends all the way to You and Me.

• He wants us to live forever. (Ephesians 2:1-5; 1 John 4:9; John 10:10-11)
• He wants us to be part of His family. (1 John 3:1)
