Rules for Marriage 2.27.22
Jerry Beebe

One thing I pray for often is that the Lord would strengthen the marriages within our church family.  The enemy is always out to kill, rob and destroy and he often starts in marriages and families.   I recently ran across these 10 simple rules that I wanted to share with you today.  They are Biblically based and will help you and your spouse establish a strong, loving and lasting relationship.

  1.  Never bring up mistakes of the past.
  2. If you have to criticize, do it lovingly.  (choose your words and our place)
  3. Never go to sleep angry.  (even if the argument is unresolved)
  4. When you have done something wrong, be ready to admit it and ask for forgiveness.
  5. Never both be angry at the same time.
  6. Never yell at each other, unless the house if on fire.
  7. If one of you has to win an argument, let it be your spouse.
  8. Neglect the whole world rather than each other.
  9. At least once a day, say a kind or complimentary thing to your life partner.
  10. It takes two to make a quarrel and the one in the wrong usually does the most talking.
