WHY SHOULD YOU SERVE?

“What would it feel like to lay your head on your pillow at night and say, “You know what I did today? I teamed up with God to change the world”? The desire to be a world changer is planted in the heart of every human being, and that desire comes directly from the heart of God.” (Bill Hybels, Volunteer Revolution)

There are many different opportunities to Get Involved at Wenatchee First Assembly. When you serve on a ministry team you are teaming up with God to transform a person’s life. Here is a look at some of our ministry opportunities:

READY TO SERVE?

A warm smile, a friendly handshake, hot coffee, simple kids check-in, easy access to information at our welcome center, help finding a seat, these are all part of our First Impressions Team. Often a guest decides whether they will come back to our church long before the first strum of the guitar. We are helping to build bridges so that the Spirit of God can work in a person’s life.

Birth to 5 years old.

This is so much more than childcare! Join the Kidz Place team and help us provide a warm, safe environment for kids while their parents are learning how to take Jesus’ teaching back to their homes, plus you get to be one of the first people to tell them about Jesus. There are rooms for different ages, and several different ways you can help in Kidz Place.

Kindergarten to 5th Grade

In Kidz Life we are building a foundation for these kids that will shape their view of God and His role in their lives. When they walk in to Kidz Life they are greeted by a friendly checkpoint person and there are a multitude of games and activities hosted by our staff. After a few minutes of play time they get to experience worship and a teaching, and then they are placed in to age appropriate classes to learn more about the lesson for the morning. All of these areas are staffed by volunteers who know that God is using them to make a difference in a child’s life.

Grades 6-12

Real Life Youth meets students at a critical time in their development. Middle School and High School is the time when a person develops what they believe about God and begins to own their faith for themselves. This is also a period of questioning and doubt. These students need adults who will get to know them and give them a safe place to ask questions about their faith. We have volunteers working in everything from check-in/snack shack to sound/media to small group leaders. We would love to have you come join our team!

Worship Arts

Worship is our chance during the service to tell God what He means to us. To give to God the honor due His Name. Our Worship Arts team helps to create an environment where people can experience the presence of God. There are multiple ways people can serve in addition to playing and instrument or singing on the worship team. Sound, Media and Lights play a huge role in ushering people into the presence of God.
